The departure of this route that will allow us to reach Rifugio Venini through a simple and difficulty-free route, it is located near the Boffalora Refuge;the refuge is easily accessible with our cars via an asphalt road that goes up from the Val d'Intelvi,in detail we will have to get to San Fedele d'Intelvi where we will take the road that goes up to the village of Pigra, just a moment before entering Pigra we will find on the left the deviation for the Boffalora refuge, the road we will travel is not wide however until Alpe di Colonno the road surface is excellent, from Alpe di Colonno begins a short descent that after about 1 km will take us to the Boffalora refuge,in this short stretch we should pay close attention to the mantle there are multiple holes and channels created by the passage of the machines where you can touch with the lower machines if you do not pay enough attention.

Just at the end of this short descent we will meet the Rifugio Boffalora where 10m below we will find spaces to park.

Once parked your car we will leave at Volta del Venini, we will immediately find a fork in the paved road we will follow the paved road to our right which immediately has fairly high slopes.

In this section the route makes a couple of hairpin bends to gain altitude, but we can very well avoid them by following a slight track that goes up between the meadows with high slopes and that will reconnect us with the road we were following and will allow us to save about 15' of path, avoiding passing from the Alpe di Ossuccio.

The road after passing this first section quite challenging sees its slopes decrease and become slight, will no longer make hairpin bends and will move to the coast towards the refuge that we are already able to glimpse in the distance, and for a short distance we will enter a beautiful larch forest.

venini2

Leaving the woods we will reach the Alpe di Lenno, where the slopes become almost zero, but we can already admire the beautiful view towards the lake, especially towards the Como branch.

venini3

From Alpe di Lenno in about 20' we will reach Rifugio Venini, the paved road that we have followed so far, becomes unpaved in the last hundred meters and leads us to the refuge.

venini4

From the refuge it is possible to admire the beautiful view towards the lake and towards the Generoso group, and from here we could continue towards Monte Tremezzo, about 20' from the refuge, and Monte Crocione, about 40', from which we could admire an even better view.
