Description:

Valle delle Mine is one of the most famous and beautiful trail in Livigno, a beautiful singletrail in a high mountain environment and flow.

The start of this path is located in Livigno, we recommend to park in Tresenda, at the entrance of the Valli delle Mine, you will find a comfortable parking spaces indicated as P13. From here in this way we will have almost 3 kilometers of warm-up,along the bike path, before starting the climb.

From the center of Livigno it will start a long climb about 7 km on asphalt until the Eira Pass. All the route is along the main street that conduct to the Foscagno pass and in summer with high traffic.

Once you reach the Eira pass it is advisable to take a moment's break near the ski lift;in fact, just after the ski lift, on the right, we will find a wide dirt road that will lead us to the top of the Mottolino; the first meters are not demanding, however, at certain times the climb becomes extremely challenging with peaks at 20% interspersed with very short flat moments where you can breathe until you reach the Mottolino.

From Camanel of Planon it will begin this long singletrail of continuous ups and downs that will remain always on the coast and will lead us to the valley of the Mine, the downhill sections are 100% on bike, while the short uphill sections can be extremely challenging in certain points and only the most trained will be able to overcome them always on bike.

The second part develops in a beautiful wood, we will meet some crossroads along the way but we will always have to keep the left. The last part is the most technical and demanding, especially in the last meters where we will find a series of narrow hairpin bends where the slopes are very high.
